Sammy Stafura had a big night for Daytona, falling a home run shy of the cycle. He hit .215 in April. Since the start of May he has hit .280/.374/.424 in 31 games while racking up 13 extra-base hits and nine stolen bases.
There can’t be many players doing better than Alfredo Duno over the last four weeks. Playing in the most pitcher friendly league in the minor leagues, he’s hit .368/.515/.605 with as many walks as strikeouts (22) in his last 22 games (99 plate appearances).
Malvin Valdez had his first 3-hit game of the season. He only had one 3-hit game in all of 2024 (83 games).
