The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets 6-5 on Freddie Freeman’s double in the bottom of the 10th inning Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The Dodgers kept their one-game lead in the National League West over the San Diego Padres.
Freeman’s double plated automatic runner Tommy Edman with the winning run.
The Padres stayed a game back of the Dodgers with a 3-2 win at San Francisco. Houston took the lead from Seattle in the American League West with a 3-0 win at Pittsburgh Tuesday night. Seattle lost 5-1 at Baltimore.
The Astros lead the Mariners by a half game.
The Los Angeles Angels beat the Boston Red Sox for the second straight time, with a 4-3 win at Boston Tuesday night. The Red Sox salvaged the third game of the series with an 11-9 win Wednesday.
The Mets saw their lead in the NL East trimmed to a half game over Philadelphia.
