The Mariners decided to DFA the former Blue Jays pitcher once again to make room for another former Blue Jay in Trent Thornton who was just activated off the injured list.
The #Mariners activated reliever Trent Thornton from the injured list.
And yes, they once again designated veteran reliever Casey Lawrence for assignment.
It marks the sixth time that Lawrence has been DFA’d this season.
Poor Lawrence cannot seem to catch a break this season as he has been DFA’d by the Blue Jays once and by the Mariners five time this season for a total of 6 times and it is only June.Hopefully Lawrence will be able to find himself a new home once again where he will not be DFA’d or he might just end up signing with the Mariners once again, only time will tell.
