The Baltimore Orioles try to fight back in Game 2 and tie this series on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.

The Minnesota Twins will go for the series win against the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday night in Game 2 of this series. This is the first series between these American League rivals. The Twins made a big statement by winning the opener on Tuesday 9-1. Both teams have started off slower than expected but that can really be said for the Orioles, who are 13-21 and just 5-12 on the road. It is not the start anyone expected from them after making an inspired run to the playoffs last season. The Orioles will try to avoid losing four games in a row tonight, while the Twins are going for their fourth straight win.

Paul Lopez was a huge factor to limiting Baltimore to just one run in the opener. Lopez went five innings and only giving up one run on a double in the fourth by Ryan Mountcastle. Otherwise he only gave up one other hit and impressively fanned 11 batters. Lopez would get all the run support he would need when the Twins put up a five-spot in the third inning highlighted by a two-run homer by Carlos Correa. Minnesota opened up the game even more by putting up a four spot in the seventh with a towering three-run shot by Byron Buxton.

The Twins will try to seal the deal on this series by starting Simeon Woods-Richardson on Wednesday. The righty is 2-2 with a 4.03 ERA. Charlie Morton will get the start for the Orioles and his first year in Baltimore is not going how he planned. The veteran is 0-6 with a 9.76 ERA.
