At Great American Ball Park: Gallen won his last start on June 3 at Atlanta, going a season-high-tying seven innings with one earned run allowed on four hits, a walk and four strikeouts. He makes his fifth career start against the Reds. In his last start on May 7, 2024, in Cincinnati, Gallen pitched six scoreless innings with one hit allowed and six strikeouts in the Diamondbacks’ 6-2 win. Gallen is 1-1 with a 2.96 earned run average in his career against the Reds, in four starts. … Singer has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his past four starts, pitching at least five innings in each. He’s in his first year with the Reds after five with the Kansas City Royals. He has two wins and a 1.38 ERA in two career starts (13 innings) against the Diamondbacks.
