The top two teams in the National League West meet for the first time in 2025, with the Dodgers in San Diego to face the Padres for three games beginning Monday night at Petco Park.

Los Angeles enters Sunday one game up in the division on the Padres, whom they’ve played three times in the last five postseasons. The Giants are also in the mix having won four straight and enter Sunday in a virtual tie for second with San Diego.

Dustin May starts the series opener on Monday night, getting an extra day of rest after allowing two runs in six innings last Monday against the Mets at Dodger Stadium.

The Padres haven’t yet announced starting pitchers for the series, but Nick Pivetta is in line to start the opener for San Diego.
