Reds update (33-33): They’re coming off a three-game sweep of Arizona and have won six of their last 11 games. They swept a three-game series from the Guards in May at Great American Ball Park. Will Benson, Cleveland’s No.1 pick in 2016, powered the sweep by hitting .500 (6 for 12) with four homers. Abbott is 1-0 against the Guards this year. Miley, 38, threw a no-hitter against Cleveland in 2021.

Guardians update (34-30): To retain the Ohio Cup, the Guards will need a three-game sweep of the Reds after being outscored, 12-6, in a three-game sweep by the Reds in May. They’ve split their last 10 games, preventing a three-game sweep by Houston with Sunday’s win. Jose Ramirez, who has reached base in 34 straight games, is hitting .308 (4 for 13) vs. Cincinnati. Ortiz and Cecconi are 0-1 against the Reds this year.
