BUFFALO 8, SYRACUSE 6 / 10 (BOX)

Syracuse rallied back from an early deficit but ultimately fell short in extras. Frankie Montas had another poor rehab start – three runs in 3.2 innings – but his stuff reportedly looked okay as he nears his Mets debut. Homers from Luke Ritter and Joey Meneses brought things closer, and Yonny Hernandez brought things even in the bottom of the ninth with a two out single. Unfortunately, Ty Adcock allowed four runs in the top of the tenth, and the Mets could only manage two in the bottom half.

BINGHAMTON 7, SOMERSET 4 (BOX)

It’s always those same three guys at the top of the lineup for Binghamton – Jett Williams, Nick Morabito, and Ryan Clifford. Those three combined to go 5-for-11 w/ three doubles, a homer, and four walks, powering the Rumble Ponies offense to their 38th win. The pitching was mostly unremarkable, save for Ryan Lambert who notched another perfect inning for the save.

WILMINGTON 5, BROOKLYN 4 / 10 (BOX)

This is the first rough loss for the Cyclones I can recall this year. Up two in the ninth, R. J. Gordon gave up the lead, then got saddled with the loss when he gave up third run in the tenth without recording an out. That gaffe wasted a solid start from Brendan Girton and a three hit, three steal day from Marco Vargas.

ST. LUCIE 4, DUNEDIN 2 (BOX)

Winning when you get outhit 10-6 is always challenging, but St. Lucie pulled it of in this one. Edgar Moreta struck out eight while allowing only a single run, while Vincent Perozo stuffed the stat sheet with a pair of hits, a pair of steels, and three RBI.
