It took more than two months into the season, but the Dodgers are finally playing the Padres and Giants. The gauntlet for Los Angeles with their National League West rivals goes for the next 10 games:
Monday-Wednesday at Padres in San Diego
Friday-Sunday vs. Giants at Dodger Stadium
June 16-19 vs. Padres at Dodger Stadium
These are the top three teams in the NL West, separated by only a game as play starts on Monday.
The Dodgers rotation, to say the least, is in flux at the moment, with no Tony Gonsolin for the immediate future. Just looking at these next 10 games, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Dustin May will likely each start twice, and Clayton Kershaw only once. That leaves five games to fill innings from the likes of Justin Wrobleski, maybe Matt Sauer, possibly even Emmet Sheehan, or some other fresh arms from Triple-A.
Today’s question is a simple one: How many games will the Dodgers win during their 10-game stretch against the Padres and Giants from June 9-19?
