Pitcher Ryan Loutos’s time with the Dodgers has come to an end, as the right-hander was claimed off waivers on Tuesday by the Nationals.

Washington will be the third organization this season for Loutos, whom the Dodgers acquired via trade from the Cardinals on May 1. Loutos got into two games in the majors with Los Angeles, and allowed five runs in three innings. He was sent down the game after each appearance, including getting designated for assignment by the Dodgers last Friday.

Loutos had a 1.69 ERA in seven appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City with one save, nine strikeouts, and four walks in 10⅔ innings.

In parts of two major league seasons with the Cardinals and Dodgers, Loutos has an 844 ERA in five games, with two strikeouts and three walks in 5⅓ innings.

The Nationals optioned Loutos to Triple-A Rochester.
