As the 2025 MLB season nears the halfway stage, teams are gearing up to find some sustained form. Twenty eight teams will be in action on Wednesday with some exciting matchups like the Seattle Mariners taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Atlanta Braves on the road to Milwaukee and the Dodgers-Padres in their first series decider.

Here’s a look at the predictions for all the matchups with the best bets that can be placed.

Predicted Score: Diamondbacks 7, Mariners 6

Bryan Woo (5-3, 3.07 ERA) of the Mariners has the edge in the starting pitcher battle against Eduardo Rodriguez (1-3, 6.70 ERA) of the Diamondbacks. Braves vs. Brewers

The Atlanta Braves will start Spencer Schwellenbach (4-4, 3.24 ERA) against the Milwaukee Brewers’ Chad Patrick (3-5, 2.84 ERA). It will be a close pitching matchup with most of the spotlight falling on the batters. Matt Olson has racked up 7 RBIs in the last five games while Christian Yelich continues to be the batting leader for Milwaukee with 13 home runs and 41 RBIs.

Reds vs. Guardians

Predicted Score: Guardians 5, Reds 4

Best Bet:

Pick Guardians Win (-116)

The Reds head into the game with five wins in five games but the Guardians look strong enough to avoid the series sweep. Jose Ramirez is leading his team in all three batting metrics. The Reds will be dependent on Elly De La Cruz for production.

Cubs vs. Phillies

Prediction: Cubs 6, Phillies 5

Best Bet:

The series decider between both teams is expected to be a close matchup. Jesus Luzardo (5-2, 4.46 ERA) starts against Ben Brown (3-4, 5.37 ERA) but the Cubs’ offense is favored to take this one.

Rays vs. Red Sox

Prediction: Red Sox 5, Rays 4

Best Bet:

Another series headed to the decider in the clash between the two AL East teams. Matchup predictors show the Rays with the edge, but the Red Sox have a chance as the underdogs.
