A Siena grad has been called up to the big leagues. Matt Gage, who starred with the Saints from 2012-2014, has been called up by the Detroit Tigers. 

Previously, the left-handed pitcher appeared in 16 Major League games with Toronto Blue Jays and the Houston Astros.

The 32-year-old, who graduated from Broadalbin-Perth High School, is taking the spot of relief pitcher Beau Brieski, who Detriot sent down to Triple A.

The Tigers have the second best record in the MLB and they sit on top of the American League.
