After the Brewers’ dominant pitching performance last night, their ace Freddy Peralta will look to follow suit.
In the second game of their series against the Cardinals, Peralta will look to continue an impressive stretch. He hasn’t allowed more than three runs in his last five starts, putting together a 2.73 ERA over that span. His walk rate has climbed to a 4.44 BB/9 ratio in those games though, along with a 4.79 FIP. His season numbers are still excellent and he is capable of dominating on any given night.
St. Louis taps Erick Fedde for his 14th start of the season. He’s compiled a 3.54 ERA across 73 2⁄3 innings. He rarely strikes batters out with just 46 tallied so far, but he has limited opponents to a .232 batting average.
Sal Frelick returns to the leadoff spot for Milwaukee after notching three hits in last night’s game. Jackson Chourio and William Contreras follow behind. In the middle of the order, Christian Yelich starts at designated hitter, then Rhys Hoskins and Isaac Collins. Brice Turang, Caleb Durbin, and Joey Ortiz finish it off.
First pitch at 7:10 p.m., on FanDuel Sports Network Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
