The 2025 College World Series eight-team field is diverse.
While Murray State, the Cinderella of the field, is making its first-ever appearance at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, several teams − like the 2023 champion LSU − are among the teams with the most appearances.
No. 3 Arkansas is the top-ranked team in the double-elimination tournament and is making its 12th appearance in the CWS. However, the Razorbacks are still seeking their elusive first national championship despite their recent success.
With 12 appearances, Arkansas enters 2025’s iteration of the CWS tied for the second-most appearances in the College World Series without winning a championship.

Most College World Series appearances
Texas and Miami have qualified for the CWS the most, with FSU baseball coming in third. In this year’s CWS, LSU moved into a tie for sixth with Oklahoma State with 20 appearances, while Arizona tied Stanford for eighth with 19 appearances.

By qualifying for the CWS this season, Arkansas ties Clemson and North Carolina with 12 appearances and no championships (to date). The Razorbacks are making their eighth appearance in the CWS since 2008.
Florida State has been to the CWS the third most times in the history of the tournament, yet the Seminoles have yet to win a national title. FSU fell short of reaching Omaha following a 2-1 series loss to Oregon State in the Corvallis Super Regional.
Northern Colorado has made the CWS 10 times without winning a title, but its last trip came in 1974.
