WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – We start with NAC baseball.

Norwood – Norfolk hosting Saint Lawrence Central.

After the Flyers won the opener 4-2, Owen Malone drives the ball to center, driving in Noah North. 1-0 Flyers.

In the second, North dribbles a grounder toward third. The throw to first bounces away, allowing two runs to score.

Caden Liebfred hits the ball through the hole, driving in another run. 4-0.

Zach Weaver sends the ball up the middle, plating in another run.

With the bases loaded, Brock Cousineau drops an infield grounder. Larries get an out on the tag at home plate.

On a sacrifice fly to center, Weaver drives in Malone from third.

Flyers go on to blank St. Lawrence Central 7-0 for the sweep.

In girls softball, it’s Colton-Pierrepont at Norwood-Norfolk for a doubleheader.

In the first game, Kaitlyn Plonka sends a sacrifice fly to center, and Makayla Boprey scores. 19-3 Flyers.

With the bases loaded, Boprey grounds the ball to short. The force play at third allows another run to score.

Emma Dillon sends the ball to left field. Cohlee Fisher comes home to score.

On the infield grounder, Ryelee Rutkauskaus is safe at first, allowing the run to score. But the Flyers go on to win game one, 22-4.

In the nightcap, the Flyers score a run on a wild pitch.

Mya Sevey strokes the ball to the left. Two runs come home.

On the wild pitch, Sevey scores.

Another wild pitch puts the Flyers ahead for good.

Norwood-Norfolk goes on to sweep Colton-Pierrepont in the second game, 23-10.
