Redhawks 7, Kasson-Mantorville 6
ROCHESTER — The Rochester Redhawks stayed hot with a 7-6 win over Kasson-Mantorville in American Legion baseball.
Liam Williams hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to win it for the Redhhawks, who moved to 5-1 overall.
The Redhawks won the game despite Kasson-Mantorville controlling most of the action.
“We lacked energy and focus today,” Redhawks coach Tom Senne said. “We need to have a better focus and grit to our game. We were fortunate to come away winners today.”
Drew Fredrickson hit a three-run home run in the first inning for K-M.
John Mueller gave the Redhawks five strong innings of relief pitching. Gavin Werneburg had two hits, including a double, for the Redhawks. Williams also had two hits.
