Detroit Tigers prospect Bryce Rainer’s 2025 season ends: What to know
Evan and Mark on “Days of Roar” podcast discuss SS Bryce Rainer’s 2025 season-ending shoulder injury and when fans might see Tigers No. 3 prospect.
The Detroit Tigers get an off day on Monday, June 16, after dropping two of three games at home to the Cincinnati Reds.
The Tigers finished off their most recent home series with an 8-4 loss to the Reds after being up 4-2 entering the eighth inning of the deciding third game. The loss caps off a 10-game stretch where the Tigers are 5-5, with the team dropping their first series since losing three of four games to the Cleveland Guardians in late May.
Still, the Tigers remain in a good position in the American League Central Division standings. With the Guardians, Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals all going 2-8 in their past 10 games, the Tigers have stretched their division lead to nine games over the second-place Twins. They also retain the best record in MLB at 46-27, a half-game over the New York Mets at 45-27.
