Giancarlo Stanton returns from the IL to make his 2025 season debut for the Yankees.
NEW YORK – Even with Giancarlo Stanton back in the lineup, and getting two hits, the Yankees couldn’t prevent being shut out Monday for a second straight game.
“We were barreling up some balls. That said, we’re not putting anything across,’’ manager Aaron Boone said after Monday night’s 1-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels in 11 innings.
“We had a couple of situations there late (to score). We couldn’t take advantage of it.’’
On Tuesday night, the Yankees will be out to end a season-high four-game losing streak against the Angels at Yankee Stadium.
