PHOENIX, Arizona (WKBN) – Jon Heyman of the New York Post is reporting that former Cleveland Guardians left-handed pitcher Anthony Gose has agreed to a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
According to the report, it is unclear whether it is a minor league deal or a Major League contract.
The left-hander signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets last December.
He appeared in 21 games at Triple-A Syracuse this season, posting a record of 2-1 with a 4.30 ERA. In 23 innings, he allowed 11 earned runs with 25 strikeouts.
Gose spent parts of three seasons in the Cleveland organization. Last season, he appeared in three games, posting a 10.38 ERA. He missed the entire 2023 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
In three seasons with Cleveland, Gose posted a record of 3-0 with a 4.78 ERA in 31 games.
He started his career as a position player with the Detroit Tigers before transitioning to a pitcher.
