MILWAUKEE (WLUK) — The 25th anniversary celebration at American Family Field will include a home run derby with Milwaukee Brewers fan favorites from years past.

Ryan Braun and Carlos Gómez will be the captains of teams squaring off. They will draft teams from this pool of players: Yovani Gallardo, Bill Hall, Corey Hart, Casey McGehee, Nyjer Morgan and Eric Thames.

Former assistant coach Ed Sedar will pitch and former catcher George Kottaras will catch.

Each player will have two minutes to hit as many home runs as he can. The last 30 seconds will feature gold-colored balls that will count as three runs if hit over the fence. Following the determination of a winning team, the top two individuals will compete in the final round.

The derby is set to follow the Brewers’ July 25 game against the Miami Marlins.

Meanwhile, a notable player from each year of the stadium’s history will be on hand during the Brewers-Marlins game. Former players plan to pour drinks at concession stands, help ring up items at retail stores and be stationed for autographs.

Names added to the list are: Braun, Keon Broxton, Gómez, Jimmy Nelson, Jace Peterson, Sedar and Randy Wolf. Previously announced were Hall, JJ Hardy, Hart, Jose Hernandez, Prince Fielder, Gallardo, Cory Knebel, Dan Kolb, Kottaras, Mark Loretta, McGehee, Morgan, Mike Moustakas, Jace Peterson, Ben Sheets, Eric Sogard and Thames.

The Brewers organization recommends fans arrive when gates open at 1:40 p.m. to take advantage of some of the special opportunities and to be in their seats for a commemorative pregame ceremony. First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m.
