The Texas Rangers scored three runs but the Kansas City Royals scored six runs.
The Rangers continue to be as baffling as you remember them at every possible turn.
A team that won a series against the squad with the AL’s best record in Detroit, and also took a set off the NL team that had the best record in May to kick off this month, has now dropped a series to a team that had lost six in a row before arriving to Arlington and had won just three times all month.
The indignity isn’t even over yet as the Royals can go for the sweep tomorrow. Just about the only glory that can be derived from this contest is the Rangers edged KC breakout starter Kris Bubic’s ERA to a digit that begins with 2.
Player of the Game: Wyatt Langford had a three-hit night with a couple of doubles, a run scored, and an RBI which was nice to see after struggles of late for the youngster.
Up Next: The Rangers will try to fight off the brooms though they do not yet have a starting pitcher in mind. The Royals will counter with RHP Michael Wacha.
Let me tell you, I cannot wait to watch this game that begins at 1:35 pm CT tomorrow at The Shed.
