The Detroit Tigers are seemingly unstoppable, with the fewest amount of L’s in MLB this season.

But one Tiger, Paws, took a big L on social media after he tried to woo former LSU gymnast and prominent TikToker Livvy Dunne during Game 2 of the Tigers’ doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday, June 18.

Fans and reporters alike spotted Paws behind home plate with a sign reading, “Sup, Livvy Dunne?”

Dunne also happens to be dating Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes, the starting pitcher in Game 2 and a fellow LSU alum.

Dunne has been a social media influencer for several years and is known to poke fun at her and Skenes’ relationship.

So when she saw Paws’ sign, she had a quick response: “sorry … not my type of tiger.”

For context, Dunne and Skenes met at LSU, where they competed in their respective sports. Dunne recently posted her support for the Tigers in the College World Series, and the couple attended the other Tigers’ College World Series game Monday in Omaha, Nebraska. (The LSU Tigers have since advanced to the CWS Finals, which begin Saturday, June 21.)

The moment quickly went viral, racking up 260,000 views in under an hour. Poor Paws.

But don’t worry. Tigers fans came to his defense in the comments.

While Dunne might not be a Tigers fan of the Tigers of Detroit, there are plenty of fans of Paws — recently named MLB’s 13th’s sexiest mascot — to get him through this tough time.

For the record, Pittsburgh’s mascot, the Pirate Parrot, came in last in the “sexiest mascot” rankings.

UPDATE: Paws could not be reached for comment, but he did post this response: “Shooters shoot”

Seems like he’ll bounce back.
