Triple-A: Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals) 9, Norfolk Tides 3

Chadwick Tromp tied the game at two with a base hit in the top of the sixth, but Memphis hung six runs on Norfolk in the bottom half. Roansy Contreras turned in a solid start with only two unearned runs allowed in four innings. Corbin Martin delivered a scoreless fifth, but things fell apart in a hurry.

Struggling reliever Cionel Pérez allowed a single and walked three batters before being chased from the game. Levi Stoudt entered and allowed a three-run homer to run up Pérez’s stat line and put the game out of reach.

Dylan Beavers continued his hot streak with a 2-for-4 effort that included a home run. Terrin Vavra finished 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, and Samuel Basallo took a pair of free passes.

Heston Kjerstad was removed from the game after fouling a ball off his right knee. Additional information was not immediately available after the contest.

Double-A: Erie SeaWolves (Tigers) 6, Chesapeake Baysox 4

Baltimore’s 10th-best prospect Nestor German allowed four runs in 4.1 innings. German struck out four and issued four free passes. Yaqui Rivera relieved German and allowed the go-ahead run in the fifth inning.

Both Carter Young and Silas Ardoin went 2-for-4 on the day. Ardoin got the Baysox on the board with an RBI-double in the second, and Young evened the score with a base hit to plate Ardoin.

Enrique Bradfield Jr. finished 0-for-4.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) 6, Aberdeen IronBirds 4

The Cyclones outhit the IronBirds 14-to-6. Jake Cunningham and Cole Urman combined for four of Aberdeen’s six hits, while Anderson De Los Santos and Aneudis Mordán both added singles. The IronBirds did not record an extra-base hit.

De Los Santos picked up the first RBI with a bases-loaded walk. Mordán actually gave Aberdeen the lead with a two-run single in the sixth, and the IronBirds extended the lead to two on a wild pitch.

Sebastian Gongora put himself in position to earn the win with five innings of two-run ball, but Christian Herberholz allowed four runs in the eighth inning. Chris Suero put the final nail in the coffin with a three-run home run.

Low-A: Delmarva Shorebirds 5, Hickory Crawdads (Rangers) 4

Finally a winner! Delmarva snuck out a one-run victory after a three-run eighth inning. Braylin Tavera trimmed the deficit to one with an RBI-double, and Luis Almeyda secured the lead with a two-run two bagger. Tavera finished 2-for-4, and six other Shorebirds recorded a hit.

Jacob Carvey earned the win with five innings of bulk relief. Starter Chipper Menard allowed two runs over 2.2 innings.
