The Rockies (17-60) will try to get their first win at Coors Field against Arizona this season as they close out a three-game series with the Diamondbacks (39-37) on Sunday.
Antonio Senzatela (2-10, 6.72 ERA) will be starting for the Rockies. Senzatela is coming off his second win of the season on June 17 after holding Washington to one run on three hits with three walks and zero strikeouts in five innings. The Rockies beat the Nationals 10-6.
The 26-year-old RHP Brandon Pfaadt (8-4, 5.38 ERA) will be on the mound for the Diamondbacks. In 15 starts this season, he’s struck out 58 batters, walked 19 and given up 15 homers in 75 1⁄3 innings. Now pitching in his third season in MLB, Pfaadt is 2-1 against the Rockies with a 4.60 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 15 1⁄3 innings spread out over three starts.
Earlier on Sunday, the Rockies made a roster change to strengthen the bullpen.
The Rockies announced today that they have optioned LHP Carson Palmquist to Triple-A Albuquerque and have recalled RHP Angel Chivilli from Triple-A.

The Rockies are 1-10 in their last 10 games at home and 4-17 against the NL West so far this season. Temperatures are supposed to be in the mid-90s with hair-dryer hot winds in Denver.
