The Glenwood-Lowry Legion 18U got to above .500 with a pair of wins at Marthaler Field in Glenwood on Monday.
Glenwood-Lowry defeated Benson, 9-1, in game one of the night, then beat Legion Express 9-0 in game two on June 23, to get to 6-5 on the season.
Noah Jensen had a big game at the plate against Benson as he went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
Marc Gruber earned the win on the mound against Benson with eight strikeouts in six innings. He only allowed two hits and three walks.
Alex Panitzke struck out 10 batters in the second game of the night for Glenwood-Lowry.
Legion Express only had one hit against Glenwood-Lowry.
Gruber scored three times in Glenwood-Lowry’s win over Legion Express.
