— It was a tale of two games between the Alexandria Zimny Insurance Post 87 Legion baseball team and the Perham Buzz in a Tuesday doubleheader.
Game one went into extra innings tied 1-1. In the bottom of the eighth inning with one out, Post 87’s Brody Adelman, who scored the team’s run earlier in the game, stole third base and came around to score on an Easton Klimek walk-off RBI single to give Post 87 the 2-1 win.
Game two was a close early on, but seven unanswered runs over the final three innings gave the Buzz a 9-1 win in game two.
Sam Anderson struck out 10 batters in Post 87’s win in game one, while Jackson Waltzing earned the win in relief.
Post 87 is now 13-2 on the season.
