CLEVELAND — The 2025 Cleveland Guardians Charities Golf Classic will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1995 team.

Participants featured include Hargrove, Thome, Alomar, Lofton, Nagy, Martinez, Sorrento, Plunk, Assenmacher, Shuey, Espinoza and Ogea.

The golf classic will be held at the Firestone Country Club on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. This is the featured event for the fourth annual CLE Inspires Week and proceeds will go toward the Cleveland Guardians Charities, according to the organization. 

Since its creation, Cleveland Guardians Charities has donated more than $12 million toward youth-oriented agencies and organizations across northeast Ohio.

Proceeds will go toward youth programs as the charities look to prepare youth for success through baseball and softball, including:

Cleveland Guardians Nike RBI Program: Fully funded baseball and softball teams for Cleveland Metropolitan School District students
CMSD Baseball & Softball: Covering costs for high school programs in the Senate League
Play Ball! CLE: Grants for underserved and adaptive leagues across northeast Ohio
Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio: Supporting over 10,000 youth through club partnerships and grants
