Meet the Mets
The Mets had lost in the first five games they played against the Atlanta Braves in 2025, but they finally flipped the script last night with a sorely-needed win. The bats hit three homers—including two from Juan Soto, who remains red-hot—and put up a five-spot in the fourth inning. Clay Holmes, meanwhile, pitched five innings of one-run ball, and the bullpen mostly held the Braves off the board with the exception of Jonathan Pintaro, who made his major league debut in the ninth and gave up a couple runs. In the end, the Mets had a 7-3 win and will now go for a series split tonight.
