The Notre Dame High School baseball team knocked off Class 1A’s eighth-ranked Kee on Wednesday at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo.
The Nikes beat Kee, 5-2, then lost to Roland-Story, 3-1.
Landry Haberichter picked up the win against Kee, striking out eight and scattering five hits. Eli Oleson had a pair of doubles. Kyler Cameron drove in two runs and Haberichter scored twice.
Haberichter had a double in the loss to Roland-Story. The Nikes committed four errors and had four hits. Haberichter knocked in Kinser Tripp for the Nikes’ run.
CLEAR CREEK-AMANA 8, BURLINGTON 5
Michael Kantzavelos had two of the Grayhounds’ three hits in a non-conference loss at Tiffin.
Caden Zaugg also had a single for the Grayhounds.
