Elly De La Cruz talks Reds’ win over Yankees

Cincinnati Reds SS Elly De La Cruz upstaged Aaron Judge and the Yankees for the second year in a row, going 3-for-4 with a HR, 3B in Monday’s opener.

Redsfest, the Cincinnati Reds‘ popular two-day fan fest, wasn’t held this past offseason because of Duke Energy Convention Center renovations.

The team announced on its official website that Redsfest will return January 16 and 17, 2026.

“Redsfest is back!” the announcement reads. “The two-day fan fest is scheduled to be the very first event at the newly renovated convention center. Save the date for January 16 and 17, 2026. Stay tuned for updates and more information to come.”

In years past, Redsfest has been held in December at the convention center, featuring games and activities, including interaction with past, current, and future stars of the Cincinnati Reds.

When the Reds announced that they didn’t anticipate holding a 2024-25 Redsfest because of the expected timeline of construction, they added that fans should “stay tuned for updates on the expected completion of construction to the convention center, at which time we look forward to an improved fan experience for our next Redsfest.”

Redsfest did not take place in 2020 or 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but returned in December 2022.
