For the third straight weekend, the Door County Baseball League kicks off its slate under the lights when Baileys Harbor visits Institute.

The Cubs struck first in the opening inning after Jaeger Brusky drove home Robbie Pollman on an RBI double, but things went south from there in a 5-1 loss to West Jacksonport last Friday night.  Brusky and Pollman were responsible for all four of the Cubs hits.

Baileys Harbor scored five runs late to stun Maplewood 9-5 on the road. The A’s pieced together their first rally in the eighth inning, using a pair of singles and a fielder’s choice to score the runs. Owen Dannhausen’s single in the ninth added two more insurance to send the A’s to the road victory. Caleb Plzak went 2-4 with 2 RBI, Dannhausen had three RBI, and Brey had two RBI.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
