Two Orioles players voted as finalists for 2025 MLB All-Star starters

One bright spot during this disappointing Orioles season has been the individual success of a couple of players who are looking to become All-Star starters this season.Designated Hitter Ryan O’Hearn and second baseman Jackson Holliday were selected as finalists for All-Star starters at their respective positions. The polls for Phase 1 of the voting process ended on Thursday. O’Hearn was the top selection at DH with over 1.7 million votes while Holliday (1.3 million) was second to Gleyber Torres (1.9 million) of the Detroit Tigers by a little over 600,000 votes. The second phase of voting begins on Monday, June 30, and lasts through noon Wednesday, July 2. Fans may vote once per day during Phase 2, with the daily voting limit resetting each day at midnight. If the two Orioles are not picked in phase 2 for the starting positions, they could be picked as reserves.
