DENVER (KLTV) – Former Mount Pleasant Tiger Michael Kopech threw a perfect inning and ran his scoreless streak to seven innings in the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Thursday.
Kopech entered the game in the eighth inning and got Ryan McMahon to fly out before striking out Braxton Fulford. Ryan Ritter then lined out to end the inning. Kopech threw 13 pitches, with seven being strikes.
Through eight appearances, Kopech has eight strikeouts.
The Dodgers (51-31) are in first place in the NL West. The open a series at Kansas City on Friday.
