Shohei Ohtani will make his third start on the mound for the Dodgers, and his first one on the road on Saturday afternoon against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Ohtani has pitched one inning in each of his first two starts. The Dodgers plan to stretch Ohtani out at some point, but whether that begins on Saturday remains to be seen. Ben Casparius has followed each of Ohtani’s first two starts with bulk relief, and figures to do so again in the middle game of this series.

Seth Lugo finished second in American League Cy Young Award voting last season, and this season has continued his solid run in the Royals rotation with a 2.93 ERA in his 14 starts.
