The Baileys Harbor A’s scored at least two runs in seven of the eight inning played Friday night, beating Institute 17-2.

The A’s outhit the Cubs 16-5 in the rout, with Caleb Plzak and Aaron Brey each registering three hits and Bryce Plzak and Chris Lodl each collecting two. Brey and the Lodl brothers Chris and Danny each tallied two RBI for their efforts at the plate. In all, eight different A’s players drove in at least one run. The A’s also took advantage of nine walks and three Cubs errors, the latter leading to four unearned runs. Jared Pflieger’s two-out, two-run single in the seventh proved to be the biggest highlight of the evening for Cubs fans. Jaeger Brusky, Robbie Pollman, Pflieger, Johnny Jorns, and Caleb Hoffman all registered hits for the A’s.
