READING, Pa. (KTRE) – Former Jasper Bulldog John McMillon picked up his first save of the season in Reading’s 1-0 win over Erie on Tuesday.
The right-hander entered the game in the ninth inning.
McMillon allowed a single to Jim Jarvis to begin the inning before getting Trei Cruz to strike out, Max Anderson to pop out and Thayron Liranzo to strike out and end the inning.
McMillon threw 20 pitches, with 11 of them being strikes. It was the 11th save of McMillon’s career.
Reading (17-27) will host Erie again on Wednesday night.
