Many kudos to you for your continuing top-flight coverage of Orioles baseball. Jacob Calvin Meyer’s article this week on Trevor Rogers was a real treat (“How Orioles’ Trevor Rogers regained his confidence, velocity: ‘It’s in his DNA,’” June 30). I had railed and railed for Rogers to be brought up and that he would easily develop into the ace we all hoped he could be. His strength training and other factors on his mental conditioning were also quite illuminating. Matt Weyrich’s coverage of the O’s defensive metrics and the nuts and bolts involved in the restoration of a ballclub that had seemingly lost its way was also right on point (“Orioles reset: Tony Mansolino isn’t buying into their poor defensive metrics,” June 30).
