LIBERTY, Ill. — It was senior night for Jackson Sims and Jack Sparrow, with Liberty celebrating by defeating Lutheran 13-3.
The Eagles scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and run-ruled Lutheran with two runs in the sixth.
Jackson Sims pitched all six innings with nine strikeouts to earn the win, allowing two hits, four walks and two earned runs.
Jack Sparrow went 1-for-3 with a run and two stolen bases.
Gavin Edgar went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run, while Blaine Deege went 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, run and a stolen base.
Up next for Liberty (12-9) is a road game against Southeastern (4-11) at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
