CHARLEROI, Pa. — The Potomac Valley Mudcats stayed unbeaten in the Fayette County Baseball League, sweeping the Charleroi Magicians, 12-0 and 11-1, on Sunday at Charleroi Community Park.
Noah Broadwater (Garrett/Keyser) had six hits, including a triple and three doubles, across the two games. Landon McAlpine (Salem/Mountain Ridge) drove in three runs in the first contest, and Seth Healy (Potomac State/Keyser) did so in Game 2.
Conner Tingler (Fairmont State) threw a one-hit shutout in Game 1, striking out 11.
Potomac Valley upped its FCBL-best mark to 12-0. The Mudcats host the Carmichaels Copperheads (9-1) on Saturday in a battle between the league’s top two teams.

MCHENRY — The Oakland Oaks ended their five game skid with a sweep of Brownsville County on Sunday at Garrett College.
Chase George threw a complete-game shutout in Game 1, limiting Brownsville to just one hit in seven innings. Cameron Goble and Ty Wickline doubled for Oakland.
Oakland scored three runs in the sixth in Game 2 to secure the sweep. Wenkai Campbell was plunked with the bases loaded to give the Oaks the lead.
Wickline, Goble and Josef Sneathen (Garrett/Allegany) had multiple hits for the Oaks.
Oakland (6-10) is at the Carmichaels Copperheads on Monday at 6 p.m. at Carmichaels Area High.
