The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a right handed hitter at the trade deadline which is why Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds could be a perfect fit but it looks like he does not want to go to the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays have been on fire lately making it clear that they will make the playoffs this season if they continue to play this well and will certainly be buyers at the trade deadline this year.
Pirates all-star outfielder Bryan Reynolds has the Blue Jays on his no trade list
The Pirates are in a very tough spot this year as they have some seriously solid young talent but cannot win games which is why they will be sellers at the deadline and will look to trade all-star outfielder Bryan Reynolds but he has a no trade clause for 6 teams.
Noah Hiles of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (subscription required) recently reported that while Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds has started to pop up in trade talks, he has a no-trade protection in his contract that could complicate things. -Sanders
According to reports, Reynolds does not want to be traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres or San Francisco Giants.
Reynolds can block a deal with any of these six teams: the Blue Jays, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. -Sanders
From the teams on this list, it almost seems like Reynolds simply does not want to go to a big market team as the teams on the list are among the biggest markets in baseball with only the Boston Red Sox missing.
This is unfortunate for the Blue Jays since adding Reynolds would be a perfect situation for them since he would bring in some consistent offense and could help fill the gap with all their injuries in the outfield.
