LEWISTON, ID – The Seattle Mariners are to host the University of Idaho Day in August.
The Seattle Mariners will take on the Texas Rangers on August 3rd.
The head coach of Vandal football, Thomas Ford Jr., will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
Coach Ford is excited about the upcoming event.
“We have so many Vandals in Western Washington, and it’s so important to bring them together to celebrate the pride we have in our university,” Ford said.
With this event, the Vandals and Mariners are partnering up for some one-of-a-kind merch.
Fans who purchase tickets through the special U of I offer will receive an exclusive Vandals-themed Mariners jersey.
Every 5 dollars of every ticket sold will go to the University of Idaho alumni legacy scholarship.
To receive that one-of-a-kind jersey, tickets must be purchased through the special promotion by Friday, August 1st, at 5 pm.
