Prior to Tuesday’s contest out west, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. was scratched from the lineup card with back tightness. He is considered day-to-day.

Acuna was scratched with lower back tightness. Trainer George Poulis got Snitker’s attention during batting practice, to seemingly alert him of Acuna’s discomfort

Acuña reportedly suffered the injury while lifting weights. He will be reevaluated today to gauge his availability for All-Star activities taking place next week.

The New York Yankees placed right-hander Mark Leiter Jr. on the 15-day injured list with a left fibular head stress fracture. There is not yet a timeline for his return.

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins is expected to return mid to late August after suffering a thumb injury.

Baltimore Orioles catcher Gary Sanchez will likely miss eight to ten weeks due to a right knee sprain.
