The trade deadline is getting closer and closer by the day. The deadline is now 22 days away and the pressure of buying or selling continues to increase for each team that needs to make a decision.
For the Houston Astros, the pressure of deciding what to do may not be as great as some of the teams that are on the wild card bubble, but fans likely would want to see Houston buy at the deadline given that they can contend for the World Series this season.

In an article from The Athletic, Jim Bowden answered 25 MLB trade deadline questions as we close in on three weeks before the end of the month. The 22nd question Bowden answers is a trade proposal from a fan between the Astros and the Marlins.
The proposal is for Houston to send Triple-A infielder Brice Matthews, pitching AJ Blubaugh and outfielder Jacob Melton to the Marlins in exchange for starting pitcher Edward Cabrera and outfielder Jesús Sánchez.
Bowden approved of the fan’s trade proposal, “I think this one makes a lot of sense for both teams. Great trade idea!”
The trade idea would make a lot of sense for both teams. The Astros would send a couple young prospects in the Houston farm system for a starting pitcher in Cabrera, who could become a pivotal piece if the Astros go on a run to the World Series.
Houston is in a race to the top of the AL. The Astros currently trail the top-seeded Detroit Tigers by 3.5 games with a little under three months left in the regular season.
