Mike Trout homered twice, and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Texas Rangers 11-8 in Anaheim Wednesday night.

Jorge Solo hit a two-run homer for the Angels in the eighth inning.

All three Southern California MLB teams are in action Friday night in series openers. The Angels will host the Arizona Diamondbacks, the San Diego Padres will host the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los Angeles Dodgers will be in San Francisco to go against the Giants.

The Dodgers will try to get back on track after losing six straight. The Dodgers lead the second-place Giants by five games in the National League West Division.
