The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the midst of their worst losing streak since 2017 — losing seven consecutive games — but have Shohei Ohtani taking the mound on Saturday in the hopes of snapping it.

Ohtani is making his fifth start for the Dodgers, and this one has the potential to last three innings depending on how efficient the right-handed pitcher is in the first few innings.

Thus far, Ohtani has allowed one run across six innings of work this season.

Ohtani will be opposite Giants right-handed pitcher Landen Roupp, who’s 6-5 with a 3.39 ERA on the year.

Will Smith is not in Saturday’s lineup, but Hyeseong Kim will get another start at second base while Tommy Edman fills in at the hot corner.
