The Diamondbacks head into the All-Star break following their game on Sunday, July 13, in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels.
Right-hander Merrill Kelly is scheduled to take the mound in the last game of the first half of the season (though the Diamondbacks have played more than half of their regular-season games), trying to maintain his run of good starts.

After that, Ketel Marte, Eugenio Suarez and Corbin Carroll head to Atlanta for the All-Star festivities. The rest of the team takes a four-day break before the Diamondbacks resume play on July 18 at home against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Cardinals are one of the teams ahead of the Diamondbacks in the chase for a wild-card spot in the National League, giving some importance to the three-game series from July 18-20 for both teams. Second baseman Brendan Donovan, far and away the team leader in hits, is the Cardinals’ lone All-Star this year.
Veteran right-hander Sonny Gray has been the most consistent starting pitcher for the Cardinals. He leads the team in wins and strikeouts and has one complete game this season.
It’s Kids Free Weekend at Chase Field as the Diamondbacks offer up to two free tickets for those age 15 and under when an adult purchases a ticket. The offer is good for all three games of the series.

July 19 features a Marte bobblehead giveaway for the first 20,000 fans to arrive at the stadium.
