On Sunday, New Hampshire pitcher Liam Doyle became one of the highest drafted baseball players from the Granite State.The 21-year-old was selected fifth overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in the Major League Baseball draft.As a junior at the University of Tennessee, Doyle was second in the nation in strikeouts with 164 in 95 innings pitched. He had a 10-4 record with a 3.20 ERA, earning SEC Pitcher of the Year. Doyle is a Pinkerton Academy graduate. In 2022, he led the Astros to a state championship, Pinkerton’s first title since 1986.
