TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida State star pitcher Jamie Arnold saw years of hard work pay off on Sunday night, the Seminole left hander was selected by the Athletics as the 11th overall pick of the first round in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft.
The Seminole southpaw was a draft eligible junior who posted a 2.98 ERA is his final season in Tallahassee, compiling an 8-2 record while striking out 119 throughout the ‘25 season.
Arnold joins an organization in transition as this last season the Athletics moved from their longtime home in Oakland. The A’s are currently building a new home in Las Vegas and are slated to relocate permanently to Nevada once the stadium is complete.
