After MLB Pipeline’s no. 1 overall prospect in Stillwater, Oklahoma high school shortstop Ethan Holliday fell into their laps with the fourth overall pick, the Colorado Rockies bolstered their ranks with three additional collegiate players in day one of the 2025 MLB Draft. Southern Mississippi righty JB Middleton, Texan slugging outfielder Max Belyeu, and defensive third baseman Ethan Hedges from Southern California represent the first reinforcements the Rockies farm system will be infused with.
Today the Rockies will make an additional 17 selections to close out the draft ahead of All-Star Game festivities.
