Falinski, who transferred to Troy from Eastern Michigan this season, is the fourth Trojan to earn a spot on a major league team, joining draft picks Brooks Bryan (8th round – Royals), Noah Edders (15th round – Cubs), and Jay Dill (18th round – Athletics).
“First and foremost, Adam is one of the greatest kids I have had the fortune of coaching,” Troy Head Coach Skylar Meade said. “It is exciting that he will be valued and have a chance to progress fast in such a quality organization like the Twins. Adam has a special arm, and the sky is the limit for his future.”
Falinski appeared in 18 games this season, with seven starts and 46 strikeouts. He pitched 3.2 innings without an earned run at Auburn (no. 25) and struck out six players across four innings in Troy’s 6-5 victory over Mississippi State (No. 15).
